The price of the FASTag Annual Pass 2025 is ₹3,000, making it a cost-effective option for frequent commuters and long-distance travelers. To put this into perspective, the average toll charge on Indian highways ranges between ₹50 to ₹100 per trip. Without the pass, 200 trips could cost anywhere between ₹10,000 to ₹16,000, but with the pass, users spend only ₹3,000 – saving up to ₹13,000 annually. For high-toll routes such as the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, which charges ₹250 one way, travelers can save almost ₹47,000 per year using this pass.

The pass integrates seamlessly with the existing FASTag infrastructure, which uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology for cashless toll collection. Once activated, it is directly linked to the vehicle’s FASTag and Vehicle Registration Number (VRN), ensuring that it is vehicle-specific and non-transferable. The eligibility criteria are simple – the pass is available only for private, non-commercial vehicles with an active FASTag linked to a valid Vehicle Registration Number. Vehicles registered under a chassis number, commercial taxis, buses, or trucks are not eligible.

The validity of the pass is either 200 toll crossings or 1 year, whichever comes first. In open toll systems, each crossing counts as one trip, while in closed-loop toll systems (where entry and exit are recorded), a complete round trip is counted as a single trip to prevent double charging. Once the limit is exhausted, the FASTag reverts to a standard pay-per-use system, and the pass can be renewed by paying another ₹3,000.
